Super Cosplay Ultra Wars was created by Alicuu who did two fighting games. Both were released free on the Internet, but this one was the better one thanks if you're a fan of anime.

The game features a diverse group of otakus (Japanese anime fans) who like to dress up as their favorite Japanese anime characters and fight each other. Some are actually dressed from the start, while others change only when they use a special move.

The game has two modes that can be played with another player or by yourself. The normal mode is the same as any other fighting game where you have to beat your opponents one by one.

The single player mode is what you would expect in a 2D fighter. When your super gauge fills up, you can do a super special move. Otherwise, you just have to use your regular and special attacks to fill up the super meter.

Now in the battle royale mode, you and the AI or a friend have to keep fighting opponents in teams of twos until you die. The opponents are randomly selected and when one dies, another appears quickly from any side.

The graphics are pure anime with nice graphical effects and techno music. Some of the music comes straight from the anime shows. The super moves are wild and with great effects when they happen. The AI isn't very good.

We still highly recommend this game thanks to its diverse cast of fighters, great effects, and fun factor. You can download the game in 2 parts here and here.
