GTA San Andreas was a great game with alot to do and a very large gaming world. But what do you do when you've brought everything, conquered every challenge, and had cops chase after you more times than you care to count? Nothing. But the guys at SA-MP give you something new to do while you're waiting for GTA4 on the PC.

It's multiplayer San Andreas! Yes, you can play the good guy or the bad guy. You pick any character from the GTA world and free roam across San Andreas with your buddies in several different types of games like breaking into an area, team deathmatch, and cops and robbers.

And you can play as a woman, if that's your thing. Although in GTA mutiplayer, it doesn't matter. Some things are lost like CJ's muscles. But who cares when you got your gang as backup.

Your gang can get very large. For example, these guys are all riding on a cable car in hopes of taking out the rival gangs since the cable car is indestructible. Smart. But one good rocket launcher and they'd be plastered all over the sidewalk. Not so smart.

You can communicate at the top left of the screen andthe map shows where all the online players are separated by gang color. It can get very crowded in the GTA world, but it's worth it for the mayhem. You can join any game or host your own.

We highly recommend this mod available here. You do need San Andreas, but it's real cheap now. You need version 1.0 of San Andreas and the Steam or Direct2Drive versions do not work. You can downgrade your version to play this game as long as it came with a DVD.
